Business Development Manager - Automotive Product Segment

This is a remote position.

Business Development Manager - Automotive Product Segment 100% Remote Must be based in Northeast Territory (PA, MD, D.C., DE, NY, NJ, RI, CT, MA, NH, VT, ME) $75K - $85K Base + $30K - $40K Uncapped Commission

50% Travel Within Territory The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving growth within assigned territory. This is a "Hunter" role with emphasis on business expansionacquiring new customers and increasing sales of existing accounts.

Candidates must have experience selling physical, tangible products.

  • Must have experience selling a physical, tangible product. Software and Services sales will not be considered

Required :

  • Around 5 years of experience in new Business Development
  • Must physically live within assigned territory (NJ Preferred)
  • Must be a self-starter, enthusiastic, driven & self-motivated
  • Strong relationship builder
  • Proficiency with MS Office and CRM systems (SharePoint preferred)
  • Sales experience in the automotive product segment (preferred)
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time within assigned territory
  • Responsibilities :

  • Execute a disciplined business development strategy aligned with company goals, with full ownership from prospecting through close and post-sale follow-up.
  • Leverage a mix of field visits and strategic phone outreach to drive sales growth, prioritize high-value opportunities, and optimize territory coverage.
  • Utilize deep product expertise to deliver impactful in-person presentations
  • Develop tailored sales presentations and proposals that clearly communicate product value and differentiation.
  • Maintain a sharp focus on profitability by effectively managing pricing and margin strategies to ensure sustainable customer growth
  • Analyze sales data regularly to identify trends, evaluate performance, and uncover growth opportunities within the territory
  • Represent the company at regional and national trade shows as needed to increase visibility and drive new business.
  • Negotiate and close deals with a focus on creating mutually beneficial outcomes and long-term account value.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Training, and other departments to ensure a cohesive and professional customer experience.
