Colliers Engineering & Design is on the lookout for a driven and creative Engineering Designer to join our Civil / Site Discipline in Denver, Colorado! This is your chance to take classroom knowledge and bring it to life, working hands-on with data collection, processing, and evaluation while assisting in the preparation of technical reports, plans, and contract documents. Responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations and create estimates.
• Develop drawings by modifying or replicating a prior project, applying changes and corrections from redlined drawings, and / or creating drawings from sketches of others or from own design.
• Ensure designs are in accordance with company and client production and design standards.
• Perform QA / QC by verifying design methodology, calculations, outcomes, etc.
• Interpret and understand drawings from multiple disciplines for specific projects and respond to requests for information regarding same.
• Conduct field inspections and surveys, investigate variables, obtain measurements, photographs, videos, and take notes; write reports documenting same.
• Research and apply code provisions to design.
• Work with senior engineers to create project designs.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D on a daily basis.
• Research design options and document findings for project manager.
• Evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures, using own judgement to make adaptations and modifications to existing designs.
• Assist Project Engineers and leaders as needed in the creation of designs.

Qualifications

Compensation : $73,500 to $88,300 (depending on qualifications)
