As a Senior Healthcare Solutions Architect at RapidScale, you will be a key advisor to our vital clients in the healthcare sector. Your objective is to design and implement innovative cloud, infrastructure, and security solutions that cater to the distinctive regulatory, operational, and technological challenges faced by significant healthcare organizations.
This role collaborates with the broader solutions engineering team, with a special emphasis on strategic opportunities in the healthcare sector. You will leverage your deep industry knowledge, experience with healthcare IT systems (including EHR, HIE, Telehealth, Imaging, LIS, and practice management), and insights into compliance and interoperability challenges specific to healthcare. Acting as a liaison between clinical, business, and IT priorities, you will align RapidScale's capabilities with our healthcare clients' objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Discovery & Strategic Alignment : Lead customized discovery sessions with healthcare organizations, delving into mission-critical applications, workflows, IT infrastructure, regulatory concerns (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH), data governance, and interoperability requirements.
- Convert healthcare-specific issues into actionable, outcome-driven technical strategies.
- Conduct workshops and interviews with both business and IT leaders to identify high-impact initiatives.
- Engage with C-level stakeholders to connect IT transformation to enhancements in patient care and financial requirements.
- Design secure, scalable hybrid and public cloud environments considering application performance, availability needs, and regulatory compliance.
Collaboration & Influence :
Serve as a specialist across regional teams, supporting significant strategic healthcare engagements in a technical leadership capacity.Collaborate with RapidScale's sales team, cloud solution architects, AI / ML specialists, and Security and Compliance experts to co-create pursuit strategies and solution roadmaps.Contribute to RFP responses, executive presentations, and solution validations tailored to healthcare use cases.Act as a subject matter expert, assisting in the evolution of our growing healthcare IT practice.Security & Compliance :
Design secure environments that comply with HIPAA, HITRUST, NIST, and the latest CMS cybersecurity standards.Assist clients with risk assessments, BAA considerations, and audit readiness preparations.Thought Leadership & Education :
Stay updated on trends in healthcare IT (e.g., cloud integration in clinical systems, AI / ML in diagnostics, telehealth infrastructure).Inform clients about how RapidScale's offerings can support healthcare objectives like patient experience, clinician productivity, and cost management.Represent RapidScale at healthcare technology conferences, panels, and strategic client meetings.Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 8 years of experience in a related role. Equivalent combinations such as a master's degree with 6 years of experience or a Ph.D. with 3 years of experience may also be considered; 12 years of experience in a related field is acceptable.A minimum of 5 years of experience focused on the healthcare sector.Familiarity with clinical and administrative systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, PACS, HL7 / FHIR).Strong understanding of healthcare operational priorities, ensuring uptime and failover for critical applications while navigating funding limitations.Preferred Qualifications :
Hosted Cloud / Data Center : In-depth knowledge of VMware, storage solutions (SAN / NAS), and VDI / DaaS environments hosting healthcare applications.Public Cloud : Experience with hybrid architectures that utilize AWS, Azure, and GCP, particularly those optimized for healthcare workloads.Security and Compliance : Proven track record in designing secure, compliant solutions for PHI, including MDR, IAM, and encrypted backup / disaster recovery strategies.LAN / WAN Networking : Ability to develop and refine connectivity strategies among facilities, cloud regions, and co-located environments.Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity : Demonstrated experience with high-availability solutions that fulfill healthcare's uptime expectations and compliance needs.Salary : USD 138,800.00 - 208,200.00 per year.
Compensation : The base salary for this role is $138,800.00 - $208,200.00, which varies based on factors such as the position's location and the candidate's experience. Additionally, this role qualifies for an annual incentive / commission target of $62,000.00.
