Overview
Join HDR as a Senior Construction Consultant in Trenchless Services. This role reports to the Trenchless Services Engineering Lead and supports the execution of design and field services for trenchless projects, including engineering, design, and construction applications.
Responsibilities
- Provide Construction Oversight for Trenchless installations.
- Conduct constructability reviews of Trenchless engineering efforts.
- Conduct daily reviews of deliverables for Trenchless construction activities.
- Conduct site visits during preliminary engineering efforts.
- Conduct Route Assessments for Trenchless aspects of Pipeline Siting & Routing efforts.
- Coordinate Trenchless Construction Oversight activities (staffing, CM scopes).
- Support Business Development for Trenchless services with some client interface.
- Coordinate subcontractor activities, scheduling, and quality control.
- Prepare the Project Management Plan of Construction Management Plan.
- Develop procedures for construction contract administration and implement with the project team.
- Perform construction management activities including procurement, schedules, subcontract scopes, review of terms, constructability and value engineering reviews, estimating and schedule reviews, and project construction performance presentations.
- Administer and manage construction activities.
- Monitor progress of design relative to construction requirements.
- Perform value engineering and constructability reviews.
- Coordinate local bidding for field quotes.
- Assist in procurement of purchase orders and subcontract packages.
- Coordinate document management.
- Review or coordinate review of submittals including shop drawings and pay applications.
- Prepare, issue, and negotiate Change Orders.
- Review and analyze baseline and updated construction schedules.
- Control the project budget and schedule.
- Coordinate and manage project quality assurance, control, and inspection services.
- Ensure subcontractor compliance with Health and Safety Program through communication and inspections.
- Prepare and update project schedules, pay requests, and progress and budget reports.
- Coordinate local bidding efforts.
- Take responsibility for project setup and temporary facilities.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Construction Science or closely related field or equivalent work experience.A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction planning and management (contracts, document / time / cost / quality management, change management, site safety, bidding, scheduling, cost control).Experience with Microsoft Office.Experience with construction management software such as Procore, Prolog, Primavera, Bluebeam, etc.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with Owner, Engineer, Contractor and other stakeholders.Commitment to participating in HDR's employee-owned culture.Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineer (PE).Certified Construction Manager (CCM).Experience with estimating software, scheduling software, project management software and web-based collaboration tools for document exchange.Compensation and Location
Targeted salary range for this position based on experience and location : $135,000 - $165,000. Locations include multiple U.S. locations as listed in the original posting.
