Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position in California requiring a CA license, circulating ability, and three years of L&D experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Acute care hospital setting in a Labor & Delivery unit
  • Day shift, three 12-hour shifts per week from 7 : 00 to 19 : 30
  • Expected to circulate in L&D procedures
  • Uses Epic EMR system, previous Epic experience required
  • Scrubs provided for L&D / OR staff, navy blue scrubs for RNs
  • Patient population includes laboring and postpartum women
  • Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) if assignment starts after Thanksgiving
  • All travelers are expected to float between all system facilities within California
  • Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month break and may not live within a 50-mile radius of the facility
  • Free parking is available onsite
  • Completion of unit-specific online modules required pre-start, average 16 hours
  • RNs may be floated based on facility needs during the assignment

  • Active CA RN license required, must be in hand prior to start
  • Minimum of 3 years recent L&D RN experience required
  • Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate (Advanced preferred)
  • Ability to circulate for deliveries and related procedures
  • No first-time travelers accepted
  • All time off must be requested at the time of consideration
  • Two supervisory references covering one year within the last three years required
