AlliedTravelCareers is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Electrophysiology Tech in Portland, Oregon, 97216!

Pay Information

$3,139 per week

About The Position

Job Title : Electrophysiology Tech

Profession : Radiology / Cardiology

Specialty : Electrophysiology

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day 4x10-Hour

Hours per Shift : 10 hours

Experience :

Two years of experience in an electrophysiology lab preferred.

License :

Licenses / Certifications required include :

Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)

Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Certifications :

International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) certification preferred.

Must-Have :

Experience in electrophysiology (EP) procedures and scrubbing is required.

Description :

Assists cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, and interventional radiologists with technical assistance and support.

Recognizes normal and abnormal 12-lead electrocardiograms and interprets recordings as they relate to heart disease.

Identifies conditions such as bradyarrhythmias, tachyarrhythmias, heart block, chamber enlargement, and myocardial infarction.

Performs patient procedures as outlined in department manuals.

Assists electrophysiologists with mapping, pacing, ablation, device implants, and imaging procedures.

Understands and communicates protocols utilized during an electrophysiology study.

Sets up rooms according to established protocols.

Assists physicians in diagnosing and treating arrhythmias and neurocardiogenic syncope.

Supports electrophysiologic evaluations, pacemaker insertion / replacements, ablation procedures, intracardiac echo, and other tests.

Ensures a sterile procedural area and collaborates with anesthesia and nursing staff to provide optimal patient care.

Works with leadership to ensure quality data abstraction, ongoing process improvement, and accurate patient billing.

Completes necessary paperwork and archives exams as appropriate.

Collaborates to ensure accurate charges and coding.

Performs additional job-related duties as assigned.

Ensures compliance with vaccination requirements as a condition of employment.
