VHS is looking for a qualified Radiation Technologist - Radiology.

• Duration : 14 Weeks
• Shift : 8 Hours Day shift
• Description : Preferred Qualifications : AAS in Radiologic Technology or equivalent NYS license / registration or eligible and ARRT must obtain within one year of appointment minimum of five years progressive technical experience plus current CPR certification required. Registration certification for Contrast Injection required.\n\nDuties : The radiologic technologist is responsible for performing radiographic examinations under the direction\nof departmental radiologists. The technologist will greet the patient explain to them the examination\nthey are about to undergo position the patient set the proper exposure factors in order to obtain the\nrequired quality radiograph. The technologist will also practice appropriate radiation safety and\nprotection to assure that patients do not undergo undue radiation exposure. Technologist will also have\na sufficient knowledge base to operate imaging equipment efficiently and effectively in order to obtain\nquality studies and to report any malfunctions with equipment to immediate supervisor. They will also\nbe responsible for processing films inputting information into the Radiology Information System for\ndocumentation and billing purposes. This position will also be responsible for the proper use of imaging\nequipment and following department procedures and protocol as defined in the Policy and Procedure\nManual. This position is mainly responsible for providing radiologic examinations based on referring\nphysician and radiologist needs.
• Notes : Radiologic Technologist - Interventional\n\nWork Days and Hours : 40 hrs / week Specific days / hours to be determined. Will be required to work weekends and holidays on a rotational basis. Overtime may be required based on departmental needs.
• W2 Pay Rate : $69.02
• Travel candidates only (50 miles or more from facility)
• Certification Requirements : Please confirm credential requirements with VHS upon application.
