Purpose :

Under general supervision, repairs and rebuilds cement pumping equipment

Essential Job Functions :

  • Analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot equipment in for repair
  • Determine most cost-effective method of repair
  • Make recommendations for repair to Production Manager or Customer
  • Determine and gather best parts for
  • Connect hydraulic lines and fills such with oil in preparation for required testing
  • Prepare trucks for sub-frame assembly by disassembling, measuring, repositioning parts, installing parts and re-assemble unit by following procedures
  • Test the assembled parts or products to ensure they are functioning properly and are of good quality
  • Comply with workplace health and safety policies, safe work practices and procedures
  • Maintain tools and the work space in good condition
  • May perform reasonably similar or related duties as assigned

Requirements : Physical Demands :

  • Perform repetitive work while moving around, under, and over equipment while on the production floor 95% of the time
  • Perform work outdoors in all weather 5% of the time

    • Education / Skills / Experience :

  • High School diploma or equivalent, required
  • Formal training beyond high school (certification or associate’s degree in auto repair), preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of mechanical experience
  • Previous experience with heavy mechanical equipment, preferred
  • Familiarity with and understanding of hydraulic, electrical, gas and diesel systems
  • Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read blue prints, hydraulic and electrical schematics
  • Familiarity with computers to look up work instructions, track labor and other tasks as needed
