We are expanding to a second Izzio Artisan Bakery facility in Thornton, CO.
Job Summary :
The Warehouse Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the warehouse to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely receipt, storage, and distribution of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods. This role is critical in supporting bakery production by maintaining accurate inventory levels, ensuring proper handling of food-grade materials, and leading a team in a safe and organized environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Supervise day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, staging, and shipping of materials and finished products.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure timely flow of ingredients and packaging to the production floor.
- Maintain accurate inventory through routine cycle counts, reconciliations, and documentation.
- Enforce compliance with food safety, GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), OSHA, and company policies.
- Lead, train, and coach warehouse associates to maintain high levels of performance, safety, and accuracy.
- Ensure all inbound and outbound shipments are properly documented and meet company and customer requirements.
- Monitor warehouse organization and cleanliness; ensure proper labeling and segregation of allergen and non-allergen products.
- Troubleshoot inventory discrepancies and collaborate with Quality Assurance and Production to resolve issues.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to warehouse efficiency, safety, and waste reduction.
- Oversee maintenance and safe operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Schedule and prioritize workload based on production needs and shipping schedules.
Requirements : Qualifications :
Experience :
Minimum 3–5 years of warehouse or logistics experience, preferably in a food manufacturing or bakery environment.Minimum 2 years of supervisory or lead experience.Skills :
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Knowledge of inventory management systems (e.g., ERP / WMS).Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).Ability to operate and train employees on warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.).Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to sit, stand, and walk within warehouse and plant environments.Standing and walking for extended periods in a cold or warm warehouse environment.Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, other schedules or extended hours as needed.Compensation is based on level of experience and other requirements of the position.
