Business Analyst Data Warehousing / Analytics

REQUIRED SKILLS : (Need Majority; 5+ Years)
- Business Analyst in most roles
- Prior experience in data warehousing or dashboarding projects (3 5 years )
- Ability to create test plans and perform application , reporting , and system regression tests ( 3 5 years )
- Ability to estimate phases of work and contribute to project planning , including experience writing user stories with clearly defined acceptance criteria ( 3 5 years)
- Experience using r elational databases (writing queries, etc.) using SQL Server ( 3 5 years)
- Ability to synthesize requirements and work with developers to create options / recommendation papers for decisions to be made at any stakeholder level
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including meeting facilitation skills
- Knowledge of data warehousing and reporting in the education sector (K-12 / P20W)
- Minimum 2-5 years' experience using Agile / Scrum Development Methodology
- Experience working with education software or reporting systems at the school, district, or state levels.
- Experience using Asana to track and report on project milestones.
- Experience using Azure DevOps or similar tools to manage user stories and sprint backlogs.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and Power BI reporting solutions.
INTERVIEW PROCESS :
Conducted via Microsoft TeamsThese analysts will work on projects related to the statewide longitudinal data system ( SLDS ), including data integration , development , system testing , dashboard / report building, and maintaining / reporting using Microsoft Fabric / Power BI. Their work will focus on gathering business requirements, performing QA , and contributing to the enhancement and modernization of the WISEdash Public portal.
Candidates should have experience integrating complex K-12 education data and developing dashboards that are accessible to DPI staff, school districts, and the public.
