Job Summary :

As an Emergency Room RN at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, you'll thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment as part of the third busiest emergency department in Minnesota. Our 38-bed, Level 2 Trauma Center provides comprehensive care for patients of all ages-from pediatrics to geriatrics. We are a Primary Stroke Center and an Accredited Chest Pain Center, ensuring you'll be part of a team delivering advanced, life-saving care. Your ability to assess, stabilize, and respond quickly will make a meaningful impact every day.

Key Position Details :

Tier 1 : 1 year of RN ED experience or successful completion of RN ED orientation required

Tier 2 : RN ED, EMS, or ICU patient care experience required

Tier 3 : RN Acute Care experience including urgent care or New Graduate with ED / EMT / EMS experience required

• 0.9 FTE (72-hours per two-week pay period)
• 12-hour night shifts
• Every 3rd weekend

Job Description :

Nursing is the diagnosis and treatment of human response to actual or potential health problems. This includes establishing an intentional therapeutic relationship between a registered nurse and a patient and family. As a leader and the integrator of care, the professional nurse has the responsibility, authority, and accountability for planning, coordinating and evaluating the patient's care needs.

Treats patients who are suffering from trauma, injury or severed medical conditions that require urgent treatment.

Principle Responsibilities

Charge Nurse (only when acting in this role).

Demonstrates ability to coordinate, delegate, and direct unit operation, collaborates effectively with unit staff, leadership and other disciplines.

Demonstrates ability to identify the orientee's learning needs, plans appropriate learning experiences and demonstrates ability to validate clinical competence of orientee.

Licenses / Certifications

Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association

Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross

Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire)

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS)

Other certifications may be required within 1 year of hire

Pay Range

Pay Range : $41.67 to $69.39 per hour The pay described reflects the base hourly pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and / or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
