About The Position

Must-Have :

Basic EKG exam must be passed with 80% or higher (2 attempts allowed).

Experience with EPIC charting system preferred.

Previous charge experience preferred.

Travel experience required.

Description :

The nurse will care for patients discharged from the medical setting who require one or more weeks of physical therapy, speech therapy, or occupational therapy.

Patients cared for may include post-surgical, post-stroke, and those needing prolonged physical therapy.

The nurse will maintain a patient ratio of 1 : 5 during days and 1 : 5-6 during nights.

Daily care activities will be required for these patients.

Interdisciplinary collaboration with the physical therapy and care management teams will occur to plan patient discharge upon admission.

Patients may occasionally have IVs and require lab draws.

This is a non-telemetry unit.

The environment emphasizes team-based care.

The unit is dedicated to providing compassionate care, with an interdisciplinary team consisting of various healthcare professionals.

The nurse will be responsible for ensuring that each patient receives a minimum of three hours of rehabilitation each day, five days a week.
