American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Alpena, Michigan.

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN in Michigan with at least two years of OR experience and proficiency in multiple surgical specialties.

Responsibilities

  • Hospital-based Operating Room setting
  • Handles general, orthopedic, OB / GYN, endoscopy, and eye (preferred) surgical cases
  • Utilizes Epic EMR system
  • Navy blue scrubs required
  • May be required to assist across a variety of surgical specialties during scheduled shifts
  • Requests for scheduling accommodations must be made at the time of profile submission; no requests will be considered after offer
  • Maximum of five days of requested time off is allowable for assignment consideration
  • First-time travelers are not restricted by prior assignments except for radius rule

    • Requirements

  • Active MI RN license required at time of submission
  • Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required
  • Proficient in handling general, ortho, OB / GYN, endoscopy, and eye surgeries (eye preferred but not required)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA required
  • Must provide recent work history and two supervisory references from the last two years
  • Must submit a skills checklist current to within one year and pertinent to OR specialty
  • Applicants must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be considered
