This position involves working three 12-hour shifts from 15 : 00 to 03 : 00. The emergency department is open to all age groups, including neonates and geriatrics. The average number of visits to the emergency department is around 100 per day. Nurses are expected to float to like acuities or less if needed. The facility has 34 beds and provides care for a variety of conditions. Candidates must have experience with emergency medications and critical care situations. Additional skills required include management of dysrhythmias, IV vasopressor administration, and procedural sedation monitoring. This position offers an interdisciplinary approach with support from various teams like IV, respiratory, and social services. Patient ratios are typically 5-6 per nurse during shifts. No call requirements or block scheduling. Previous travel experience is preferred, but first-time travelers are welcome. The role involves the use of Epic and Pyxis for charting and medication administration. Candidates must include any requested time off in their submission.
