Job description

SNI Companies has partnered with a leading healthcare organization seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant II to join their accounting team on a contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to critical accounting functions while gaining exposure to various specialized areas within the organization.

Contract Details :

  • Contract duration : Up to 3 months
  • Schedule : Onsite in Irving Headquarters
  • Pay : $29 / hour

Key Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and record accurate month-end journal entries for assigned functional accounting areas in compliance with U.S. GAAP standards.
  • Analyze the purpose and accuracy of journal entries, including account coding and financial statement classifications, ensuring proper documentation and approvals are in place.
  • Evaluate data sources for journal entry support, raising follow-up questions when necessary to ensure information integrity and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with other accounting team members to maintain organized records and ensure consistency in reporting practices.
  • Understand the impact of accounting entries on the organization's financial statements and provide clear explanations when needed.
  • Support various functional accounting areas, which may include :
  • Cash Accounting
  • Fixed Assets Accounting
  • Payroll Accounting
  • Prepaid Assets & Deferred Revenue
  • Inventory & Supplies Accounting
  • Physician Fees & Guarantees Accounting
  • Intercompany Accounting & Allocations
  • Lease and Technical Accounting
  • Health Plan & Grant Accounting

    • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP principles.
  • Prior experience preparing journal entries and supporting documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze data and identify discrepancies.
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP / accounting systems preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
