Job Summary :
Insight Global is seeking a Workday Payroll Developer to join one of our logistics clients, as they consolidate the Workday Suite of a legacy company into their environment. The Workday developer will be responsible for implementing comprehensive Workday solutions that align with the strategic goals of the organization. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements, developing architectural frameworks, and ensuring the successful deployment of Workday functionalities. You will play a key role in designing and overseeing the technical architecture for the Workday implementation, ensuring it aligns with HR and organizational goals. You’ll be responsible for guiding the system build, encompassing Workday configurations, integrations, data conversion, and security, while ensuring the solution is scalable and meets long-term needs. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions that drive project success.
Day to Day :
- Lead the design and architecture of the Workday system, ensuring it meets business objectives and HR needs.
- Work closely with business and IT teams to gather requirements, translating them into effective technical designs for Workday configurations, integrations, and reporting.
- Oversee the data conversion process, ensuring data integrity from legacy systems into Workday.
- Ensure the security architecture aligns with organizational compliance and security requirements.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on Workday best practices and functionality.
- Identify areas of process improvement and drive innovative solutions for scalability and performance.
- Support system testing, including unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, to deliver on project timelines and goals.
- Assist in resolving any post-implementation issues, providing ongoing technical support and enhancements.
Must Haves :
5+ years of experience in enterprise development, with hands-on experience in Workday implementations within the Payroll ModuleMUST have in-house payroll experience with strong understanding and experience with system integrations, configuration, and data migration activitiesIntegration experience with Payroll, time tracking, Core HCM modulesStrong understanding of security architecture and compliance in Workday systems.Nice to Have :
Cross-functional business experience, including business analysis, transportation, logistics and / or supply chain solutionsDemonstrated project management experienceCapacity to learn and understand a full suite of technical solutions and make recommendations to internal and external customers based on business needsLean knowledge, including value stream mapping and Kaizen execution planning / management
