As a Security Professional - Armed Government Patrol in Edinburgh, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence. This role requires carrying a concealed weapon and operating a vehicle as part of your daily responsibilities. You will interact with visitors and staff, delivering exceptional customer service and communication while upholding our values of agility, reliability, and integrity. Position Type : Full Time

Pay Rate : $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Monday to Sunday : 2 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor for and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
  • Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearms and other security-related equipment as required for the post.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and / or emergency responders as needed during critical situations.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols and procedures while on duty.

  • Minimum Requirements :

  • Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
  • Have at least one year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and / or military roles.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
