MMR Payroll / Billings Clerk

Job Description :
Job Duties include but are not limited to :
- Support payroll department activities and efficiency by gathering and entering employee time and wage data within the department’s time management system
- Communicate with staff to ensure payroll information is gathered, stored in the correct digital drives & reviewed by the correct people in the office & field in a timely manner
- Reviewing the time entries for variances & issues against a list of common errors to ensure accuracy, as well as a roster of active employees to ensure the correct employees are included
- Cover uploading payroll & any necessary communication to the corporate office as needed when the payroll supervisor is out of office
- Using the payroll system to generate the data into billing packages that are audited against labor rates & other contractual information provided before being incorporated into invoices
- Using Adobe or another PDF program to combine various documents into invoice backup
- Notary duties (MMR will provide the training if you aren’t currently a notary)
- Invoice reconciliation to the invoicing system(s) & upload to the internal document share drive
- Invoice review using a list of requirements provided to ensure invoices that are issued are accurate & ready to be sent to a client
Required Skills and Qualifications :
Minimum 2 years’ experience in payrollMinimum 2 years’ experience in billing / invoicingProficiency in ExcelTrack, Open Invoice, SAP, Viewpoint, Quickbooks or other accounting / invoicing software experienceExcellent communication skillsHigh level reading comprehension to decipher proposals and contract documentsA high level of attention to detail for reviewing payroll & billing numbersTime management skills to meet critical payroll & billing deadlinesThe ability to compare large sets of data quickly (with excel or other methods) to find variancesThe ability to work through a repeat cycle of tasks independently each week like clockworkThe ability to use written instruction manuals and / or client provided training as needed to learn new invoicing platforms, troubleshoot issues & problem solveMMR Group, Inc. and its affiliated companies ("MMR") is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age, veteran status, genetic information or any other legally protected class.
