Position Summary
Serves as the Coalition Director for the SRSLY Coalition, whose mission is to promote the health and wellbeing of area youth and decrease the incidence of substance abuse. Under the guidance of the department Manager, the Coalition Director will coordinate the coalition in implementation of evidenced based programming, policies and strategies that target risk and protective factors associated with youth substance abuse.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with concentration in public health, social work, education, psychology and / or community planning and organization required; masters preferred.
- Training and experience in substance abuse prevention preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Facilitates bi-annual community needs assessment related to youth substance abuse.Leads data collection and analysis for program and coalition evaluations, with evaluator and coalition members.Recruits and trains volunteers for SRSLY activities, with coalition membersBuilds relationships with key community stakeholders to strengthen the coalition.Works with a wide audience including children, adolescents, parents, teachers, health care professionals, and the faith-based and business communities.Plans and facilitates meetings with youth and adult volunteer coalition members, including some evenings and weekends.Manages multiple tasks and project initiatives.Plans and implements project activities within budgetary limits.Prepares and submits grant reports and applications by all applicable deadlines.Develops and implements marketing plans and materials.Manages social media accounts for coalition.Oversees coalition spending, sustainability and budgetary tasks.Our Commitment
