This job is a hybrid role based in Pittsburgh, with three days a week in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The goal of this position is to provide practical experience through direct exposure to the related business line(s) and to develop the next generation of diverse business professionals. The program will provide hands-on training and experience in the business line, expose the various career opportunities in the business line and related areas, and prepare participants for positions in the business. Responsibilities include providing services to the day-to-day operating objectives of the assigned area, participating in projects and programs appropriate to the needs of the assigned area, and conducting research and reporting including recommendations or proposals for action. The role is within the health plan finance organization with a focus on forecasting financial performance, preparing monthly financial reports, collaborating with cross-functional teams, utilizing data analytics and visualization tools, and developing clear and concise presentations to communicate financial insights and recommendations.
Required qualifications include full or part-time enrollment in an accredited college or university baccalaureate program. Preferred qualifications include a degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration with a concentration in finance, financial mathematics, or computer science. The anticipated graduation date is 2027 or 2028.
Essential job functions include communicating effectively with colleagues and clientele, providing entry-level professional services, participating in projects and programs, planning and implementing unit projects, conducting research and reporting, and performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
