Job description

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions Regional is seeking a local contract nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a local contract nursing job in Derry, New Hampshire.

Job Description & Requirements

Unit Specifics :

  • Number of Beds : 8
  • Unit staffing description : Mixed patient population, open ICU, goal staffing 4 RNs 24 / 7
  • Type of equipment : GE B650 cardiac monitors, vents, Gaymar cooling
  • Documentation system : Meditech
  • Scheduling requirements : Self-scheduling encouraged, EOW, OT ok if available, flexible scheduling
  • Floating policy : ICU may float to critical care or intermediate care areas when needed
  • Patient Experience requirements : AIDET validation during orientation, unit is focused on Nurse Communication (nurses listen carefully and nurse explain things in a way patients can understand), white board use, hourly rounding, bedside care conference / hand off

    • Medical and Surgical ICU experience. ACLS / BLS required. AIBP experience & CCRN preferred.

    Procedures performed on unit : Ventilator care, Therapeutic Hypothermia, PCI / STEMI, IABP, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, TEE / cardioversion, temp pacer, Sepsis, Stroke / TPA, DKA. ICU RNs are responders for Code Blue and Rapid Response Team
