RN Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details :

• Work three 12-hour shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6 : 30 AM to 7 : 00 PM
• Call expectations averaging 5-6 weekday shifts and 1 weekend shift (average for 8-week sign-up period)
• Possibly 15 call shifts per month, with call varying from month to month
• No call except for potential holiday call during assignment
• 13-week assignment length
• Alaska permanent RN license required for submission
• Required certifications : Alaska RN license, BLS, ACLS
• Experience needed in orthopedics, total joints, neurosurgery, and robotics
• Must have experience as patient advocate and circulator while being a resource for the sterile field
• Preferred experience as circulator and scrub
• CNOR certification preferred
• Work with variety of OR beds and equipment
• EMR system : Epic
• 1 : 1 patient ratios
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Typical procedures include total joints, multi-level spine fusions, and variety of Xi robotic cases (GYN, colorectal, general)
• Very little ENT, dental, eyes, or plastics procedures
• Must have positive outlook and willingness to work with team members

Facility :

This healthcare facility features an 11-operating room surgical department located on the 2nd floor of the main hospital building. The operating room maintains modern equipment and technology including Xi robotic surgical systems. The facility operates with varying staff levels depending on the shift, averaging 8 RNs, 8 scrub technicians, and 5 surgical support technicians during day shifts. Night shifts are supported by one charge RN and one scrub technician with call team backup available. The organization emphasizes teamwork and maintains high standards for surgical care across multiple specialty areas.
