This role is open due to an upcoming retirement! The Manufacturing Buyer will create and process purchase orders to provide purchased materials and components, tooling and services to the machining, production and assembly groups of Entrust Manufacturing Technologies, Inc.'s Unisig division. This position will also identify material status and shortages and expedite material and orders to accommodate the changing sales and production schedule utilizing the ERP system. Strong attention to detail, ability to remain focused and work with accuracy, speed, and efficiency are needed to be successful in this role. An interest in mechanical products is helpful as we encourage our employees to understand what they are buying to make better decisions.

Essential Functions :

• Work directly with vendors and build positive partner relationships
• Work cross-departmentally with engineering and production planning to determine priorities and re-align delivery needs
• Purchase routine as well as complex, unique or high dollar value requirements with a focus on quality, price and timely delivery at the direction of the Procurement Supervisor
• Expedite and coordinate delivery of materials or services, communicating any supply issues which may pose a risk or impact on manufacturing, assembly or delivery deadline
• Identify vendors based on engineering needs and research alternatives when part shortages delay delivery
• Enter, update, and monitor documentation and systems to ensure completeness and accuracy of data
