Financial Business Analyst

Palm Medical Centers is looking for a Financial Business Analyst who will collaborate with key corporate and health plan business partners for the purpose of identifying and delivering robust analytics capabilities to drive improved business performance. The candidate must be local to the Miami, Florida area and commute daily to Coral Gables headquarters to support the leadership team.

Duties / Responsibilities :

• Create, maintain, and share list of strategic initiatives with projected financial values and manage the process through completion providing regular updates to internal and external stakeholders.
• Independently engage with customers and business partners to gather requirements and validate results.
• Work with various data extracts and multiple data sources to interpret and analyze data including medical claims, pharmacy claims, provider / member eligibility, and revenue.
• Produce standardized reports for leadership including translating financial and operational results into power point presentations, dashboards, or similar including use of charts and other visuals.
• Work collaboratively with subject matter experts and internal / external stakeholders to facilitate operational and financial goals.
• Perform trend analysis including identifying data irregularities and material changes to financials and present findings and solutions to leadership.
• Manage multiple, variable tasks and data review processes with limited supervision within targeted timelines.
• Support multiple functions and levels of the organization and effectively communicate findings and insights to all stakeholders.
• Data mining, scrubbing and transforming data into actionable information in a well displayed manner.
• Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced and changing environment, managing priorities and meeting deadlines without close supervision.

Required Skills / Abilities :

Fluency in English (verbal and written) required.

Advanced Excel skills including translation of files and use of complex formulas and pivot tables.

Financial modeling and data mining experience required.

Strong communication and organizational skills required.

Strong grasp of business ethics to work in a collaborative environment following company policies and procedures.

Proficient in SQL or Access.

Education / Experience :

Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited university; Finance, Accounting, Economics preferred.

3-5 years of financial analytical experience.

Managed Care or other Healthcare experience required.

Physical Demand :

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Majority of work is performed in a corporate office setting, indoors.

Minimal / No travel requirement.

Pay :

Starting at $65,000 (negotiable based on experience, up or down)

Schedule :

8 hour shift

Day shift

Monday to Friday

Work Setting :

In-person
