Travel Nurse RN - Oncology - $2,011 per week in Asheville, NC

Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : RN Specialty : Oncology Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night Hours per Shift : 10.5 Experience : Minimum 2 years License : RN Certifications : BLS preferred Description : This oncology unit comprises 24 beds. There are 42 staff members assigned to the unit. The typical day shift includes 1 Charge Nurse, 4-6 Registered Nurses, 2 Certified Nursing Assistants, and 1 Health Unit Coordinator. The night shift has a similar staffing pattern. Patient ratios are typically 1 : 4 or 1 : 5. Standard unit equipment is utilized. Electronic Medical Records system used is Cerner. Candidates must possess an RN license and BLS certification. Chemo Certification is preferred. Procedures performed on the unit include occasional pelvic exams, echocardiograms, and thoracentesis. Ideal candidates are team players and eager to learn. Staff may occasionally float to other medical-surgical units. Dress code for RNs is navy, white, or a combination of both colors. Certified Nursing Assistants should wear Galaxy Blue. Basic hospital policies and guidelines are followed. Staff may be required to work 6 weekend days during the schedule. This position is created to replace a contractor.
