Job Description
Oversee all preconstruction activities, including estimating, budgeting, and scheduling for property-related projects. Collaborate with clients, architects, and engineers to develop comprehensive project plans. Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates and ensure alignment with project goals. Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate contracts to optimize project outcomes. Monitor preconstruction processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies. Provide guidance and mentorship to the preconstruction team, fostering professional growth. Identify and mitigate potential risks during the preconstruction phase. Maintain strong communication with stakeholders to ensure seamless project handoffs to the construction phase.

The Successful Applicant
A successful Director of Preconstruction should have : a proven track record in preconstruction management within the construction industry (15+ years); strong knowledge of construction methods, cost estimating, and project scheduling; exceptional communication and negotiation skills for working with clients and subcontractors; a degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred); leadership abilities to mentor and guide a team effectively.
