We are seeking a Workforce Development Lead (Moving I-4 Forward) to join our team within the FDOT Corridors Program Office (CPO) in Celebration, FL.

How will you contribute to the team?
- Oversee and manage the workforce development program aligned with project needs and workforce priorities.
- Forecast current and future workforce demands for all transportation related professions, including a focus on those within the transportation construction and engineering trades, identifying resource gaps and associated required skillsets.
- Develop strategies and partnerships to support training, certification, and placement pipelines. Lead and oversee the identification, prioritization, and development of all necessary curriculum.
- Coordinate with transportation construction contractors, engineering professionals, and training institutions to ensure consistent progress on workforce goals and milestones.
- Monitor program performance and report on workforce readiness, diversity goals, and skills development outcomes.
- Align workforce planning milestones with FDOT Work Program with project delivery schedules to ensure talent availability matches construction timelines.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on workforce trends, best practices, and industry workforce compliance requirements.
- Oversee workforce development staff and resources to ensure timely and accurate completion of high priority items, as well as efficient ongoing operations.
- Coordinate with internal and external partners. Collaborate with other offices within FDOT and stakeholders to achieve operational goals.
- Prepare and oversee workforce development budgets, including tracking expenditures and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Perform other such duties as program leadership deems necessary.
What will you contribute?
Bachelor's degree in Workforce Development, Public Administration, Construction Management, or a related field.Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including leading workforce programs.Experience with engineering, infrastructure or transportation projects is a plus.Experience working with or on behalf of state agencies or public sector clients, preferably within FloridaDemonstrated ability to lead workforce programs from FDOT's perspective, ensuring alignment with project performance.Strong understanding of training frameworks, apprenticeships, technical education, and trade readiness.Certifications related to transportation management, logistics, or safety would be beneficial.Understanding of FDOT regulations : Knowledge of applicable government laws and regulations related to transportation is a plus.Strong leadership skills : Ability to motivate, guide, and develop a team of employees.Organizational skills : Efficiently manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and resources.Communication skills : Clearly and effectively communicate with staff, stakeholders, and external partners.Problem-solving skills : Identify and resolve operational issues, supply chain disruptions, and staffing concerns.Analytical skills : Analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.What we offer at AtkinsRalis :
