Job Summary : This position is responsible for the safe transportation of industrial and commercial equipment to and from various customer job locations and branch stores. This position involves local or long-distance hauling of equipment and supplies as well as loading, unloading, and securing the equipment.

Essential Functions :

• Delivery and pick up of equipment for customers in a safe and timely, efficient, and courteous manner
• Secure construction equipment and other equipment, by means of chaining, strapping, and blocking under the strict accordance and established procedures
• Perform pre- and post- vehicle inspection; Inspect truck for defects and safe operating condition, before, during, and after delivery trips
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or radiator fluid or performing minor repairs
• Complete DOT required drivers daily log and trip sheets accurately and without misrepresentation
• Perform basic troubleshooting involving malfunctioning equipment at job site and make minor repairs
• Demonstration of proper and safe equipment usage to customer at the point of delivery
• Obtain required signatures on rental contracts, pick up, and exchange forms
• Assist other departments whenever required in an efficient manner
• Performs other duties as assigned
