  • Location : Lewes, DE 19958 (Delaware nursing jobs)\n
  • Healthcare Setting : Acute Care – Labor & Delivery / Women's Health\n
  • Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 1 / 2025 – End : 3 / 2 / 2026)\n
  • Shift : 12-hour rotating shifts (Day / Night)\n
  • Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week\n
  • Estimated Weekly Pay : $1990 - $2130\n
  • Unit Details : 6 LDR beds, 6 Postpartum beds, 60-80 births / month\n
  • Nurse-to-Patient Ratio : 1 : 1-2 (Labor), 1 : 3-4 (Mother-baby couples)\n

    • \n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Delaware or compact state\n
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience\n
  • Required certifications : BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NRP, EFM\n
  • Baby Friendly certification (can be obtained if not already held)\n
  • Preferred : STABLE certification\n
  • Experience with Cerner charting and RxStation medication management preferred\n

    • \n\nLabor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities\n \n

  • Deliver comprehensive antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care to mothers and newborns\n
  • Monitor and assess laboring patients, manage labor progression, and assist with deliveries\n
  • Provide care for both low and high-risk pregnancies (high-risk births
  • Float as needed to sister units, including care for NAS babies and mother-baby couples\n
  • Document patient care using Cerner PowerChart (electronic health records)\n
  • Accompany high-risk mothers to higher-level care facilities as needed\n
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes\n
