Travel Care Hawaii is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Hilo, Hawaii.

  • Travel-friendly contract in a high-volume, collaborative emergency care environment.

    • Experience Required :

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience required.
  • Strong background in high-acuity, fast-paced environments preferred.
  • Must obtain an active Hawaii RN license prior to the start date.

    • Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care in a 28-bed ER department, including :

    • 4 trauma bays

  • 2 behavioral health rooms
  • 22 cardiac monitor rooms
  • Perform triage, administer medications, and deliver critical interventions for emergency cases.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to stabilize and treat patients across all acuity levels.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EPIC EMR.
  • Uphold infection control, patient safety, and quality care standards.
  • Participate in holiday coverage and flexible scheduling as needed.

    • Qualifications & Skills :

  • Active Hawaii RN License (required by start).
  • Certifications : BLS, ACLS, and PALS (preferred : Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC).
  • Strong critical thinking, assessment, and rapid decision-making skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented emergency department.
  • Excellent communication and adaptability under pressure.

    • Candidates must meet the minimum qualifications and hold the required certifications to be eligible for application.
