Lumber Mill General Labor

Entry-level position to perform general lumber mill responsibilities including stacking lumber, moving inventory, and verifying inventory counts.

Principal / Main Responsibilities and Tasks :

• Execute daily work instructions including, but not limited to, stacking lumber off green chains and / or resaws.
• Learn and understand quality and stacking standards.
• Ability to or willingness to learn to operate material handling equipment.
• Assists in performing basic maintenance to equipment.
• Gain an understanding of mill operations and production processes.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to safety standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
• Attend all safety meetings and any necessary production meetings.
• Keep production area clean and free of hazards.
• Other duties as assigned.
