Job Description

Wright Technical Services is actively seeking a Roadway Design Engineer for one of our clients in Greater Cleveland. The role involves designing roadway engineering projects, including geometric, hydraulic, pavement, intersection, lighting, and traffic design.

Job Duties :

Client-focused and team-oriented.
Willing to learn and take on new challenges.
Strong time management skills to manage multiple projects.
Assist in preliminary engineering and design planning.
Ensure compliance with ODOT and local regulations.
Prepare design calculations and contract documents.
Manage projects through various permitting processes.

Skills :

Problem Solving / Analysis : Independently make decisions based on engineering judgment.

Technical Capacity : Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D; experience with OpenRoads Designer is a plus.

Communication Proficiency : Guide junior staff and interact with stakeholders.

Collaboration Skills : Consult on unique problems and work on improving project techniques.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.

Minimum of 3 years of roadway design experience.

Knowledge of ODOT / local standards.

Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification required; PE Certification preferred.
