The Role
The Project Manager plans, directs, and manages renovation projects to ensure they are completed on time, on budget, and as promised. You'll be the central coordinator between homeowners, our internal team, architects, subcontractors, vendors, designers, and consultants, delivering exceptional quality and seamless client experiences.
This position requires sound judgment and independence, functioning effectively with minimal direct oversight by the Director of Production.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Scheduling & Planning
- Build and maintain detailed project schedules in Buildertrend, including materials, labor, subcontractors, and inspections
- Lead weekly two-week look ahead meetings with production leadership
- Lead bi-weekly OAC (Owner-Architect-Contractor) meetings with owners, architects, and the production team
Budget & Cost Management
Manage and control project costs across labor, subcontractors, and materialsComplete Cost to Complete reports by the 5th of each month with detailed projectionsMonitor labor hours weekly against the budget and develop corrective plansReview subcontractor and vendor invoices to confirm accuracy before paymentManage the change order process from estimate to signed authorizationQuality Control & Production
Ensure all construction meets plans and company quality standardsCoordinate daily production activities to ensure proper materials and resourcesConduct jobsite inspections at least twice per weekMeet with subcontractors at project start, midpoint, and completion to evaluate progressClient & Stakeholder Communication
Maintain open daily communication with field staff and clientsLead OAC meetings to review updates, schedules, and costsUpload daily Buildertrend logs by 5 PM with progress notes, next-day plans, and photosCommunicate issues or scope changes to the Director of Production the same dayTeam Leadership
Foster a professional, positive, and safe team culture at all jobsitesBuild effective relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, and employeesProvide recognition for strong performance and actionable feedback when neededEnsure safety compliance with OSHA standards and conduct field safety meetingsMaintain an average 8 / 10 NPS score from employees in quarterly surveysMust Have
Knowledge & Skills Required
5+ years of Project Manager experience at a high-end general contracting companyAbility to read and interpret plans, details, and specificationsExperience using project management software (Buildertrend preferred)Proactive, flexible, team-oriented leader comfortable in a small company settingAble to anticipate and resolve challenges before escalationHighly motivated, organized, and detail-orientedExcellent verbal and written communication skillsHumble and open to feedbackFluent in English; Spanish a plusPreferred Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferredMinimum 5 years in high-end residential construction project managementExperience with Buildertrend or similar platformsCompensation & Benefits
Salary : $130,000-$200,000 annually (based on experience)
