We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Test Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be at the heart of our operations, performing a wide range of technical duties in our Electronics Lab. You will be responsible for the testing, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of equipment, playing a critical part in ensuring the quality and functionality of our products. Key Accountabilities

  • Perform product verification and validation testing to ensure quality standards.
  • Diagnose electrical problems and troubleshoot issues using wiring schematics, repair manuals, and part catalogs.
  • Inspect and test equipment and components to identify malfunctions.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on lab equipment to ensure it remains in working order.
  • Perform PCB assembly, modification, and repair, including soldering of surface-mount (SMT) and through-hole components.
  • Assist Controls Engineers with developing, managing, and implementing projects as needed.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvements for test lab processes and fixtures.
  • Support a safe and inclusive workplace that values diversity and individual differences.
  • Assemble electrical test and instrumentation equipment.
  • Operate and maintain a real-time simulator.
  • Build cable / harness assemblies.

Basic Qualifications

  • Education & Experience :
  • High School Diploma or GED and 3+ years of relevant experience;  OR

  • An Associate degree with 2+ years of experience;  OR
  • A Technical Degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • 3+ years of experience with PCB assembly, modification, and repair, including soldering of surface-mount and through-hole components.
  • Proficiency in electronic soldering and printed circuit board repair.
  • Knowledge of electronic test instruments, tools, and inventory control methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring guides.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with cable / harness fabrication and manual soldering.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with IPC Electronics Manufacturing Acceptability Standards.
  • Knowledge of Electro-static Discharge (ESD) protection protocols.
  • Experience with asset and facilities management.
  • Familiarity with problem-solving techniques and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
