UI / UX Game Designer, BigBox VR Job at Meta in Lincoln

Overview

You are a fast and iterative UI / UX Designer looking to create the next generation of virtual reality experiences. You have multiple years of experience designing and building interfaces in Unity Editor and are a trusted creative partner to the engineering team. You are a skilled communicator, adept at collaborating with the team to create, iterate, and finalize designs to make our user journey as clear as possible. You have a clear vision of what is needed to make complex interactions easy to learn and enjoyable to use on an ongoing basis. You value giving and receiving constructive feedback knowing that working together makes the best products.

Responsibilities

Create clear UX flows and UI designs from layout to prototyping, rapid iteration and review, to final quality

Work with 2D / 3D Software packages (Photoshop, Figma, Unity, etc.) to create clear designs and game-ready assets

Help drive a consistent visual language within the UI and a standardized approach to implementation

Work in a fast-paced rapidly iterative studio

Work on live service games including A / B testing UI flows and regular user feedback sessions

Work with the art and engineering teams to guide creative and engine-efficient solutions for the UI

Collaborate with tools and engine teams to continually improve upon our custom workflows and technology

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years of experience in UI / UX Design with at least 1 shipped live-service product

Ability to clearly communicate and present new design concepts concisely in both technical and non-technical manners

Experience creating understandable spatial UI to solve interaction challenges in Virtual or Mixed Reality

Experience designing for free-to-play game interfaces and monetization

Proven strategic thinking and problem-solving skills

Experience working with Unity and Unity canvas components

Online portfolio showing UI examples from shipped products for Free-to-Play and Live Service games

Game or interaction development experience across multiple surfaces (console, mobile, VR, MR)

Experienced identifying, learning, and teaching new tools and techniques

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with pipelines that leverage AI for content creation

Successfully launched VR, MR, or AR products

Public Compensation :

$112,000 / year to $161,000 / year + bonus + equity + benefits
