Description
OVERVIEW : The Intake Assistant assists patients through the intake assessment process. This individual is the first staff point of contact for all patients, supporting patients through completing the initial engagement forms and consents for all new admits.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Maintain demonstration of values and mission statement
- Establishes and maintains communication with patients and coworkers to improve the quality of service and patient satisfaction
- Completes patient luggage searches in compliance with state regulations and company policy.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe intake office, luggage room, and donation room.
- Coordinates and processes necessary returns to patients in a timely and respectful manner.
- Provides assistance to Patient Engagement Specialists (PES) as needed during the intake process.
- Supports Intake Coordinators by preparing and organizing intake materials, forms, and supplies.
- Ensures safe handling and logging of patient belongings.
- Helps monitor and restock supplies for the intake and donation rooms.
- Assists with patient flow during busy admission periods, providing a welcoming and supportive presence.
- Works collaboratively with all staff to maintain a positive and professional environment.
- Respects and protects patient confidentiality by following HIPAA and company policies.
Qualifications
HS, GED, or equivalent experienceValid, unrestricted driver's license1+ year(s) of experience working with Substance Abuse populations strongly preferredAbility to stay calm in stressful or high-risk situationsAbility to de-escalate situations and prevent harm from occurringSkilled at solving problems and using critical thinkingCrisis Intervention Training strongly preferredComfort with conflictis requiredPossess the physical ability to run and the strength to disarm / defuse tense situationsThe ability to deadlift / bench press approximately 200 pounds is essentialClean driving record for at least 3 yearsCommitment to a drug-free lifestyle and responsible alcohol use is essentialPersonal passion or interest in substance abuse issues strongly preferredAuthorization to work in the US is requiredAt Landmark Recovery, we believe diversity is a strength.
