Position Information
The University of North Carolina's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is recruiting a non-tenure track, open rank faculty member within the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine. The Division's clinical programs include high-risk obstetric care, perinatal consultation, prenatal diagnosis, ultrasound, genetic services, invasive fetal therapy, and perinatal outreach. Division faculty members are active participants in UNC's Collaborative for Maternal and Infant Health, which provides multidisciplinary care coordination for families referred for fetal malformations. Division members actively participate in student and resident teaching and provide subspecialty training for six Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellows through its ACGME-approved fellowship program. The Department is ranked nationally among NIH-funded programs and participates in the NICHD Maternal-Fetal Medicine Units Network and WRHR Career Development Program. Biomedical and public health graduate programs offer opportunities for collaboration in basic science and translational research. Opportunities and resources for career development are available in clinical leadership / quality and safety, medical education, or clinical / translational research. The UNC Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is a large and highly regarded program with extensive faculty, residents, and fellows, known for innovative clinical care and robust research and training programs.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Qualified individuals must have earned a MD or DO degree, completed a 4-year ACGME-approved OB-GYN residency and completed a 3-year ACGME or ABOG-approved fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Must be Board Certified / Board Eligible / Active Candidate in both OB-GYN and Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Candidates must possess competence in maternal medicine and prenatal diagnosis, and have a commitment to excellence in medical education.
