Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Model Based Systems Engineer to join our MQ-28 team in one of the listed locations . Boeing Phantom Works is building the next generation of force-multiplying aircraft, the MQ-28 Ghost Bat , and we’re looking for enthusiastic systems engineers to join us on that journey. As part of the MQ-28 team you’ll work closely with Boeing Defense Australia (BDA) to help design, integrate, and field an autonomous “loyal wingman” that extends the reach, survivability, and capability of crewed aircraft. Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Experienced or Lead (Level 3 or 4) Model-Based Systems Engineer. Position Responsibilities Support / lead system architecture development and decomposition using MBSE (SysML / Cameo) to define interfaces, functions, and allocation across multiple domains Support / lead cross-functional engineering teams in developing systems to meet program commitments, including support of design reviews Support / lead the program in implementing MBSE as part of digital engineering Support / lead Systems Engineering efforts such as requirements decomposition, system architecture, system analysis, specification development, trade studies, program planning, interfaces management, risk management, certification planning & execution, verification & test planning, and overall integration and capture them in the MBSE model as appropriate Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically and / or internationally depending on business needs. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and / or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience) Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science 5 years of work-related engineering experience with a bachelor’s or work-related engineering experience with a Master’s Prior Systems Engineering experience to include but not limited to system design, functional decomposition, requirements development, analysis, verification, and validation Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience) 9 years of work-related engineering experience with a Bachelor’s or 3 years of work-related engineering experience with a master’s or work-related engineering experience with a PhD Prior Systems Engineering experience to include but not limited to system design, functional decomposition, requirements development, analysis, verification, and validation Experience with MBSE, Cameo / MSOSA, and / or SysML Drug Free Workplace Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
