The Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) will provide technical security expertise to support the design, development, integration, and assessment of secure computing and networking environments. The ISSE will ensure compliance with Information Assurance (IA) standards, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend mitigation strategies while supporting mission-critical government systems.
- Perform or review technical security assessments of computing environments to identify vulnerabilities, ensure IA compliance, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Serve as a security engineering representative on engineering teams during the design, development, implementation, and integration of secure systems, architectures, and enclave environments.
- Act as the primary security engineering representative for projects involving secure networking, computing, and IA architectures.
- Apply knowledge of IA policy, procedures, and frameworks to support the development and integration of secure system solutions.
- Support the Government in enforcing trusted relationships across external systems and architectures.
- Provide security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management for enterprise environments.
- Define and enforce security requirements for handling government data and systems with varying classification / protection levels.
- Recommend system-level solutions to resolve security requirements.
- Collaborate and interact directly with customers and project teams to ensure secure solutions meet mission and compliance needs.
- Contribute to the design of system or network architectures that span multiple enclaves with differing security requirements.
- Active CISSP certification (required).
- Demonstrated experience performing IA / security engineering in support of secure system design, development, and integration.
- Strong knowledge of IA standards, STIGs, RMF, and government security requirements.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with customers and technical teams.

is $150,000 to $240,000 (annualized USD).Salary ranges are intended as a guideline, not a guarantee of pay. Education / Experience Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field is required. Positions that may be available range from mid-level (7-14 years) to senior level (20+ years).
