Part-Time FAA Certified Flight Instructor, Single Engine Certificate. Reports to : District Director of Aviation. Department : Commercial Aviation. Exempt : No. Vice President : Vice President of Instruction - Career & Technical Education. Approval by Recruiting Coordinator. Qualifications Requirements : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must have a Current FAA Certified Flight Instructor, Single Engine Certificate. Must have a Current Second Class FAA Medical. Prefer in addition to CFI Single engine : Instrument Flight Instructor and Multi Engine Flight Instructor. The Flight Instructor is responsible for conducting flight and ground instruction under 14 CFR Part 61. Maintain student training records in accordance with Hinds Community College Commercial Aviation policy. Maintain training standards as set forth by FAA regulations. Conduct "ground" training and "flight" training to teach the student the basics of flying an aircraft and to help them prepare for the written test. Instruct student pilots in "live flight" to ensure competency and proper airmanship. Special Instructions to Applicants Please be prepared to teach a private pilot maneuver. Please submit copies of : FAA Flight Certificates (front and back) FAA Medical. Education and / or Experience : A Current FAA Certified Flight Instructor Certificate Required Associates Degree or higher from an Accredited College or University is preferred.
