Overview :

We are seeking a highly organized and self-motivated AV Service Technician to support the retrofit of USB camera bars into existing office environments. This role involves the physical installation, configuration, and validation of AV hardware—primarily USB camera bars—ensuring clean, professional setups that align with workplace standards.

Requirements

Retrofit USB camera bars in conference rooms, huddle spaces, and private offices.

Ensure all installations meet high standards of organization and cable management, with a focus on clean, discreet routing and labeling.

Work independently to complete installations with minimal supervision, maintaining a professional and tidy workspace throughout.

Configure devices for optimal performance, including firmware updates and software settings.

Test and validate AV functionality post-installation, including video, audio, and connectivity.

Document installation details, room configurations, and any deviations from standard setup.

Troubleshoot and resolve installation or integration issues on-site.

Maintain inventory of AV equipment and tools.

Follow safety protocols and company standards for AV deployments.

Qualifications :

2+ years of experience in AV installation or IT support, preferably in a corporate environment.

Familiarity with USB camera bars (e.g., Jabra PanaCast, Logitech Rally Bar, Poly Studio).

Strong understanding of AV signal flow, USB connectivity, and basic networking.

Demonstrated ability to manage cables neatly and maintain a clean, professional installation environment.

Ability to read and interpret floor plans and technical diagrams.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Ability to lift and mount equipment as needed.

Preferred :

Experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) environments.

AVIXA CTS certification or equivalent is a plus.
