We are seeking a licensed and certified Pharmacy Technician to support daily pharmacy operations at a reputable facility in Clearwater, Florida . Candidates with retail pharmacy experience are strongly preferred.
Position Type : Contract / Temporary
Assignment Length : 13 weeks
Work Schedule : Monday through Friday, 9 : 00 AM 5 : 30 PM
Location : Clearwater, FL
Start Date : ASAP (typically 1.52 weeks after offer acceptance)
Position Overview :
In this role, youll play a key part in ensuring prescriptions are processed accurately and efficiently. You will handle medication preparation, manage inventory, work with insurance claims, and support overall pharmacy operations in a high-volume environment.
Responsibilities Include :
Process prescription orders and resolve insurance claim issues or rejections
Prepare, label, and package medications for pharmacist verification
Perform accurate data entry and maintain prescription documentation
Conduct cycle counts, track stock levels, and manage expired or returned medications
Assist with medication quarantines and disposal according to protocol
Adapt to various operational needs and provide cross-functional support
Maintain full compliance with HIPAA, state regulations, and payer policies
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent required
Active Florida Pharmacy Technician license and PTCB certification
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a pharmacy setting (retail or call center experience is a plus)
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
