Construction Laborer / Cleaning Technician

Join a dynamic team engaged in constructing a large project in Lenoir, NC, with a project duration of over two years. We are looking for dedicated individuals who can stand and direct pedestrian traffic on-site and assist with various construction tasks.

Responsibilities include standing and directing pedestrian traffic, holding a stop / slow sign to ensure safe walkway crossings. Perform physical labor including jobsite clean-up, rough carpentry, and logistics management. Construct temporary structures, fencing, decks, and platforms. Participate in construction waste management and site protection systems. Inventory supplies and manage re-stocking needs. Ensure compliance with safety codes and regulations by tradespeople, subcontractors, and vendors. Understand and follow work instructions, safety protocols, and equipment manufacturer guidelines. Participate in daily Pre-Task Plans and adhere to safety expectations, wearing appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE). Perform demolition, scaffold construction, and fire watch duties. Maintain cleanliness and organization of dumpster areas and manage vendor schedules. Act as a spotter for heavy equipment operators. Communicate and escalate issues for resolution, ensuring a secure work environment. Assist other craft workers and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders.

Essential Skills : 6+ months of construction experience. Proficiency with hand and power tools. Ability to read a tape measurer.

Additional Skills & Qualifications : Experience in carpentry and concrete work is beneficial. Strong teamwork, integrity, and leadership qualities. Capability to work overtime, including up to seven days a week.

Job Type & Location : This is a contract position based out of Lenoir, NC.

Pay and Benefits : The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
