Description :
Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably.
Demonstrates competency through the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Upholds the standards of professional performance.
Strives to achieve optimal patient care outcomes.
Education :
Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
Bachelor's Degree of Science in Nursing must be obtained within 5-7 years, depending on the start date of the RN role.
Experience :
Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program is essential.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Time management and organizational skills are essential.
Self-directed with the ability to make quality, independent decisions.
Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and high volumes.
Maintains strict confidentiality.
Ability to actively listen to others is crucial.
Competency in the use of a variety of computer hardware and software systems is required.
Licenses / Certifications :
RN License required upon hire.
BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire.
Essential Functions :
Provides evidence-based nursing care consistent with the interprofessional plan of care.
Communicates and collaborates with other members of the healthcare team.
Acts as a patient and family advocate.
Performs point of care testing as required.
Demonstrates a high standard of ethical and culturally sensitive behavior.

Assesses overall needs of the patient and analyzes data.

Evaluates patient and family educational needs and employs appropriate teaching strategies.
Initiates discharge planning at the time of patient contact.
Ensures accurate and timely documentation is performed.
Assumes a leadership role and delegates appropriately to unlicensed personnel.
Engages in ongoing professional development related to nursing practice.
Participates in quality improvement activities.
Actively participates in safety initiatives and risk mitigation measures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
