Under the direction of the Manager, this role supports the execution of compliance risk management activities across the organization. This position contributes to the implementation and maintenance of various compliance programs, assists in monitoring regulatory adherence, supports policy development, and participates in compliance-related reviews and assessments. Assists in business unit’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements and Bank policies and procedures, including but not limited to those related to Fair Banking, Anti-Money Laundering laws and regulations, Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act.
- Participates in quality assurance reviews and data integrity testing to identify potential compliance gaps or operational risks. Assists in documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
- Contributes to the development and maintenance of compliance policies, procedures, and training materials. Helps ensure that content reflects current regulatory expectations and supports employee understanding of compliance obligations.
- Reviews marketing materials, disclosures, brochures, and customer-facing documents to ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance with applicable laws and internal standards.
- Assists with oversight of the vendor management program by helping to review third-party compliance documentation, risk assessments, and due diligence materials to ensure adherence to the bank’s standards.
- Stays informed of emerging regulatory developments and changes and assists in assessing their potential impact on bank operations, products, and services. Collaborates with compliance officers, legal counsel, risk management, and business units to support enterprise-wide compliance initiatives and promote a culture of compliance.
- Assists in preparing documentation and responses for internal audits, regulatory examinations, and compliance testing activities. Maintains accurate and organized records of compliance activities, including monitoring logs, training completion, and policy acknowledgments.
- Performs all other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned.
- Education : Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience.
- Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience in legal or regulatory compliance of banking laws and regulations, or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Technical Skills : Demonstrated proficiency and expertise with personal computers in a networked environment and Microsoft Office applications or similar software. Knowledge of or ability to use Bank software and systems.
- Other Qualifications : Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills, as well as presentation skill. Demonstrated ability to discuss and offer alternatives or solutions to compliance and operational risk issues with any level of the organization. Able to identify and define problems; research and analyze information and various situations relating to data management issues. Must have a general knowledge of accounting principles and a working knowledge of regulatory requirements, knowledge of best practices, etc. Able to work flexible hours including holidays, weekends and evenings as needed. Must be able to provide own transportation and arrive at intended destination in a timely manner or as required. Travels by air as required.
