Amazon Web Services is seeking a detail oriented, customer obsessed Program Manager for its Data Center Operations team. Our Program Managers quickly adapt strategies, plans and solutions in response to dynamic business requirements. They also must be comfortable interfacing and driving various functional teams and individuals at all levels of the organization. If you have previous project management experience, are ready to take on challenges, are open minded, appreciate team camaraderie, are creative, outgoing, sociable, friendly, have a sense of humor, and want to help Amazon raise the bar, then this role is for you! Successful candidates are problem oriented - solution focused natural self-starters who possess the ability to design, develop, and deploy innovative solutions to address operational challenges while driving these solutions to completion. This role requires both independent contribution as well as the ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams (internal operations, engineering, legal, finance, procurement, environmental / health / safety, etc.). This individual has strong communication skills, is organized, thrives in ambiguity, and is comfortable engaging with external stakeholders. The scope of role encompasses program management of capital expense (CAPEX) and / or operational expense (OPEX) projects within data center operations. The scope of projects will include but not be limited to process improvement, physical plant improvements, vendor (partner) management, and cluster-wide project coordination. The individual will be expected to identify areas for improvement as well as act on data provided from other teams and organizations to deliver results.
Key job responsibilities :
A day in the life of a Program Manager begins early with a review of overnight operations, ticket trends, and capacity metrics. The morning brings cross-functional syncs with Data Center Engineering Ops, Construction, Security, Logistics, and Operations to align priorities and mitigate site interference. Midday is spent translating evolving customer demand into executable workstreamsbalancing timelines, vendor performance, and workforce readiness. The afternoon focuses on auditing standards, walking data halls, and coaching leaders on quality and culture. Each day ends with reflection and reportingcapturing lessons learned to ensure safe, reliable, and scalable capacity delivery at AWS speed.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $83,100 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000 / year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
