Equiliem is seeking a local contract nurse RN CVICU for a local contract nursing job in Neptune, New Jersey.

Registered Nurse (RN) – CVICU | Contract | Neptune, NJ

Pay : $49–$56 / hr

Assignment Length : 13 Weeks

Schedule : Nights | 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM | 3x12s

Weekends : Every 3rd Weekend Required

Holidays : Not Required

On-Call : None

Float : Yes – to other ICUs

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse to join a leading healthcare system in Neptune, New Jersey on a 13-week contract. The ideal candidate is skilled in managing complex cardiovascular cases, highly proficient in telemetry and critical interventions, and committed to delivering patient-centered, evidence-based care.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and assess patient needs, prioritizing and planning nursing care
  • Assist physicians and support clinical decision-making
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care
  • Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage critical care patients
  • Initiate assessments based on patient conditions and physician orders
  • Document all care according to clinical standards and patient acuity
  • Advocate for evidence-based care and professional nursing practices
  • Provide compassionate, patient-focused care
  • Other duties as assigned

    • Required Qualifications

    Education

  • ASN required
  • BSN preferred

    • Licensure & Certifications

  • Active NJ RN license or compact RN license
  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • NIHSS
  • 4-hour Stroke CEU
  • Telemetry certification

    • Experience

  • 2+ years CVICU experience required
  • Strong experience in telemetry, step-down / surgical, thoracic & vascular step-down
  • LVAD competency

    • Preferred Experience

  • None listed

    • Clinical Skills & Equipment

    Experience with :

  • Balloon pump
  • CCRT
  • ECMO devices
  • Cardiac outputs monitoring
  • SWAN
  • Chest tubes
  • Post-cardiac surgery patients
