Travel Nursing Job Details Location : Asheville, NC 28801 (North Carolina nursing jobs) Unit : K9-B Observation Unit (Cardiac Stepdown) Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 16 / 2025 - End : 2 / 15 / 2026) Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM) Hours per Week : 36 Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Setting : 20-bed Cardiac Stepdown / Observation Unit Estimated Weekly Salary : $1880 - $2020 per week Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license (North Carolina or compact state) Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience (Cardiac Stepdown, Telemetry, or Med-Surg preferred) BLS certification required Telemetry certification required Med-Surg certification preferred Experience with Cerner / Power Chart EMR preferred Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown and observation unit patients Monitor and interpret telemetry data for cardiac patients Perform IV starts and Foley catheter insertions Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes Float to other medical-surgical units as needed (trauma, renal, neuro, ortho, spine, general surgery, adult medicine) Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Cerner / Power Chart EMR Comply with hospital policies, including attendance and dress code (navy or white scrubs) Experience the beauty and culture of Asheville while making a difference in patient lives at one of America's top hospitals.
