Responsibilities Work in a Med / Surg Tele unit with mixed acuity, including both PCU and Medical-Surgical patients Typical patient ratio is 1 : 5 Required to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity Assignments may include both day and night 12-hour shifts, with a schedule determined by departmental needs No set weekend or block schedule and flexibility is mandatory Uses EPIC EMR system Initial orientation consists of one week of Monday through Friday dayshift, followed by 36 hours of precepted on-unit orientation Self-scheduling requests are considered but not guaranteed Must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly upon contract acceptance Locals are accepted at the same pay rate Former employees are eligible after a 6-month break from the facility Current employees of Ohio State University hospitals are not eligible Time off requests must be submitted with application Requirements Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration Minimum 2 years of RN experience required BCLS certification required EPIC charting experience required IV starts, telemetry, and tracheostomy management skills required Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program required At least 2 professional references required, including one from a manager, director, or charge RN Previous travel nursing experience preferred Oncology experience preferred but not required Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-630268.
