Insero Talent Solutions is recruiting a Production Supervisor for a fast growing manufacturing company in Rochester, NY.
Position Summary :
The Manufacturing Supervisor oversees daily production operations within the plant to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals are consistently met. This role is responsible for leading, training, and coaching hourly production employees while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and teamwork. The Supervisor acts as the front-line leader for operational execution, process compliance, and resource coordination.
Key Responsibilities :
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of production personnel across assigned shifts or work areas.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust resources as needed to meet output and
efficiency targets.
Ensure safety procedures and company policies are consistently followed; promptlyaddress safety concerns and lead incident investigations.
Maintain quality standards by conducting regular inspections and working closely with Quality Assurance to resolve any product or process issues.Train, mentor, and evaluate employees to build a skilled, engaged workforce.Administer attendance, performance feedback, and corrective actions in partnership with HR.Promote a safe, clean and organized work environment using 5S and leanmanufacturing principles.
Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational efficiency, cost reduction, and waste elimination.Track production metrics, complete reports, and provide updates during meetings and shift handovers.Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and other departments to resolve issues and improve workflow.Qualifications :
High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field preferred.Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, with 1+ years in a supervisory or team lead role.Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, safety protocols, and quality systems.Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Ability to coach, develop, and motivate individuals and teams in a fast-pacedProficiency with basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office, ERP systems).
